about Cindy brennan
TRAUMA-informed therapist in overland park
Cindy Brennan, LCPC
Women’s therapist in Overland Park specializing in anxiety, burnout, and trauma recovery.
I’m Cindy Brennan, therapist and founder of The Haven. With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, I wanted to create an intentional therapy space for women who are seeking depth, integration, and lasting change. So many women are tired of moving through life on fast-forward. Always showing up, holding it all together, and rarely having a place to exhale. As a mother of 3, I understand these demands firsthand. As a therapist, I have sat with so many women who crave calm and connection but don’t know where to find it. Traditional therapy can open that door, but I wanted to build something more integrative and purposeful.
Many women I work with are tired of feeling overwhelmed, stuck or like they’re carrying the weight of everything. They don’t just need sugarcoating or someone to vent to. They need someone who can help them sort through the noise, challenge unhelpful patterns, and build emotional strength that lasts. My evidence-based approach draws on neuroscience and nervous system regulation, which allows therapy to move beyond simply talking about experiences to integrating them in the brain and body. We will also explore how lifestyle factors such as nutrition, movement, sleep, and screen habits impact emotional wellbeing.
I specialize in working with women who want depth over quick fixes and are ready to engage in thoughtful, integrative therapy. My approach is supportive and warm while also being direct, grounded, and practical. I firmly believe that lasting change comes from doing the hard work not from avoiding discomfort. As your therapist, my goal is to help you grow, take ownership of your life, and move forward with confidence. I will walk alongside you through the tough conversations and provide tools to form new, healthy patterns for personal growth.
